Mood Board

Lunch time is an important time to take a rest from work, refreshing their mind and
have energy for afternoon. Atataka would provide enjoyable lunch time during brake time from work.
Atataka is a food container especially targeted working persons at the office or
workplace.
Easy to carry from home to office or different places in the office.
In addition, atataka has function of warming up food and people can enjoy their warm meal.

Sketchs

At the sketch, explored how to compile different meals and cutlery to make sure easy and safe to bring. Also explored stylish design to much office environment when it is put on the desk.

Features

Final product was named “atataka”, which means “warmth” in Japanese. It comes
with three containers and cutlery sets.

Foldable handles make the design minimal. Cutlery set is placed on top of containers. Cutlery is foldable and clips prevent shaking cutlery. The heat from the bottom plate can warm up or keep the lunch warm.

Meals are heated through application. You can set a timer from the app and the meal is heated up just in time for lunch. The colour of the light on top synchronized with the app and it let you know which process is ongoing.
Blue: Default
Orange: Warming up
Green : Ready

Prototype was made by using 3D printer. It has function of slide door, movable handle and lighting.
